In a pinch, this ribbon can be used with some NS5100 setups, but high-volume NS5100 environments often run best with the ink-reservoir ribbon style built for longer service life. If you’re not sure, send us your model and usage level.

NS5100 time clock ribbon
In a pinch, these can be used in an Amano NS5100. They will fit. However, the NS5100 is used for thousands of registrations per week. The standard PIX ribbon is not designed for that use. There are differences in the wearability of the plastic bearings, and also, the most obvious difference:
4x the lifespan of the ink supply.
The NS5100/CP3000 ink ribbons have an ink resevoir. This is a raised area in the cartridge.
