Common questions:

Is this ribbon only for the MJR7000?    No: It also fits the MJR8000.

Why is the two-color ribbon for the MJR8000 no longer available?
It was ordered only when your MJR8000 was set up to print red at certain times of day. As that feature was rarely used, the two color ribbon has been discontinued. A one-color ribbon works fine.

How long will an unopened ribbon last?
If stored out of sunllght and at less than 80 degrees, they have a shelf life of about 5 years.
